Literacy

·         Ask each learner to say their name.Clap the syllables of each friends name.

·         Talk about the different areas in the class: art area, reading corner etc.

·         Memory game. Teacher mentions 3-4 names learners have to repeat it in order.

Numeracy

·         Count the number of learners in the class.

·         Let the learners group themselves according to the colour of the clothes they are wearing.

·         Let learners make a pattern while sitting in a circle on the mat. One sits and one stands.

Art
